Nobody finds a product that no discovery layer can see.
Until mid-2025, "getting found" meant one thing: rank on Google. That's no longer true. Discovery has split into four layers that each work differently, get satisfied differently, and can each independently block you — even if the other three are perfect. This academy exists because JobPlnr is live right now and invisible on all four. That's the actual starting point, not a hypothetical.
The four layers, in the order they actually gate each other
- Crawl — can search engines and AI crawlers technically reach and read your pages at all? This is a yes/no gate. If it's no, nothing below matters.
- Cite — once crawlable, does your content get quoted inside AI-generated answers? This is the new discipline called GEO — Generative Engine Optimization.
- Discover — are you listed where people and AI systems go specifically to browse tools — Product Hunt, AI tool directories, SaaS catalogs?
- Social — are real humans seeing you in feeds, communities, and referrals, independent of any search engine?
Each module teaches one layer, ends with a checklist that fills in the header's Signal Console, and includes a "Field Notes" box applying it directly to your actual live situation. Every module also has a Deep Dive — expand it when you want the expert-level version, skip it on a first pass.
Go straight to Module 01 — Crawl. It's not optional reading — it's diagnosing the actual bug currently keeping JobPlnr at zero organic traffic.
